by Melissa

I already needed this. But now that it is $5, I have no excuse.

Senna Cosmetics just sent me a message about their Leap Day sale. Many great items are only $5. I really love Senna’s lipsticks. More info below the cut.

MAC and Rodarte Collaborate in Stupidity

by Melissa

MAC learns the hard way that human suffering is not chic.

When I saw the first promotional image of MAC’s Rodarte collection I actually laughed out loud because it reminded me so much of the homeless chic fashion parodied in the movie, Zoolander. The girl purposely looks like a corpse. Then when I read more about the collection and the problems in Juarez I couldn’t believe that those in charge actually gave this the green light. It is as if they were trying to be as offensive as humanly possible with this. Everyone wants to be edgy in the fashion world. But when you go too far and jump headfirst off the cliff into a sea of bad taste, the fans will revolt.

Review: Cargo Tinted Moisturizer

by Melissa

My face likes this.

I don’t wear foundation. Blasphemous for a beauty blogger, I know. I’ve yet to find a foundation that really improved the look of my skin enough to warrant the claustrophobic feel I get when I wear it. Tinted moisturizer is a good compromise. It feels lighter, is less likely to melt off in the summer, and is more forgiving if… say, the person isn’t an expert at application.

Review: Senna Cosmetics

by Melissa

I love a nice sheen and I don't mean Charlie.

I think I may have mentioned this a few times before, but I am a sucker for cute packaging. I really like gold packaging of Senna cosmetics. I don’t feel bad about being a packaging slut when the actual makeup is outstanding too. And guys, this stuff is good.

Taupe Crazy with Alima Pure

by Melissa

Taupe Town, USA

So the other day I really wanted a nice taupe shadow but nothing in my stash was cutting it. I blame it all on the taupe love going on over at Pink Sith. So anyhow, I really wanted to try Alima Pure‘s eyeshadows but I could not decide on a single taupe. So I ended up getting ten neutral eyeshadow samples. Since Alima Pure offers samples for only $1 each, it didn’t set me back much.

Review: Everyday Minerals

by Melissa

Little pots of DRAMA.

Everyday Minerals is a company with decent makeup but has had at times horrible customer service. In general, if you order something it’ll arrive just fine and everything will be peachy keen. It is when there is an out of the ordinary situation that Everyday Minerals falls short.

Review: CARGO Swimmables Eyeliner

by Melissa

Where have you been all my life?

I really like the brand CARGO as they make some great blushes. I had never tried their eyeliners though. CARGO Swimmables waterproof pencil kit is a set of five eyeliners that are supposed to stay put even after swimming. Great for those of us that like to wear makeup to the beach (what? I want to look cute in my swimsuit) or for those unfortunate souls currently battling the heat and humidity.
